Ingredients

  • 1 russet potato
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • cooking oil spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380 F.
  • Peel and slice the potato into 1/4 inch slices, then cut each slice into 1/4 inch french fries. A mandolin or a french fry cutter is helpful for this.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, soak the potatoes in water for one hour. This removes a lot of the starch from the potatoes, making them even crispier! Next, drain the water from the bowl and toss the potatoes with garlic salt and onion powder.
  • Place the fries in the air fryer basket in an even layer without overlapping or crowding the basket. Spray them with a little bit of olive oil. Then cook the potatoes for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.
