Ingredients

Instructions

  • Cut the potato lengthwise into 1/4 inch thin slices; then cut each slice into 1/4 inch fries. (A mandoline is helpful here).

  • Soak the potatoes in water for 1-2 hours to remove some of the starch and make them extra crispy.
  • About 5 minutes before you're ready to make the french fries, preheat the air fryer to 400 F.
  • Drain the water from the bowl and toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, parmesan cheese, and paprika. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping (you may need to work in batches). Air fry for 15-20 minutes, tossing the potatoes halfway through.

  • When finished, you can top the fries with extra parmesan cheese, a sprinkle of garlic powder, and fresh parsley or eat them as is!
