About 15 minutes before you're ready to start cooking, generously salt both sides of the pork chops with about 1 tbsp of salt. For the most tender meat, salt them 30-60 minutes before cooking.
Preheat the air fryer to 375° F. In a small mixing bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Season both sides of the pork chops.
Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket and air fry for 14 minutes, flipping halfway. The pork chops should be 145° F inside. Remove pork chops from the air fryer, tent with foil on a plate and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Cook time varies by thickness. For ½-inch thin boneless chops, reduce to 8–10 minutes. For 1½-inch bone-in chops, increase to 16–20 minutes.
Always check internal temperature. Pork chops are done at 145°F at the thickest part.
Dry brine for extra juicy chops. Salt both sides 30–60 minutes before cooking. This is the single biggest factor in tenderness.
No need to flip more than once. One flip at the halfway mark is plenty for even cooking and a nice crust on both sides.
Storage: Refrigerate cooled chops in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
Reheating: Air fry at 350°F for 3–4 minutes with a spritz of olive oil. Avoid microwaving if you want to preserve texture.
