There are so many labels on the package, but what do they all mean?
Organic – to officially be labeled “organic,” the chicken must be fed organic food (grown without pesticides), receive no antibiotics and be given access to the outdoors.
Fresh vs Frozen – fresh means it’s never been frozen. The meat will have the freshest flavor in this state and should be used within a few days of purchasing.
Cage-Free – chicken that live in a cage-free farm have unlimited access to outdoors at all times.
