Best Veggie Burger Bar

The weather has finally warmed up and the grills in my courtyard have officially been dusted off. So I invited some friends over for our first Summer cookout with a DIY burger bar!

ingredients for a burger

A DIY burger bar is the best because you don’t have to worry about preparing a full meal for all your guests. It requires minimal prep and very little cook time. Plus, everyone gets to make a burger they love! What would you put on your burger?

I grabbed all the ingredients at Safeway, including the MorningStar Farms® Grillers® Original Burgers which are claimed to be America’s #1 Veggie Burger. Are they actually the best veggie burgers? Keep reading to find out!

I love the Safeway app because you can easily save coupons. It’s like digital coupon clipping! Who remembers the days of clipping coupons and having to remember to bring them to the store?

Vegetable burgers

I don’t eat much red meat, but I love burgers and find myself craving them regularly. I have a great veggie burger recipe that I keep in my back pocket for days when I need to fill those cravings.

I’m all about easy to cook meals when hosting a group of friends! Between the MorningStar Farms® Burgers, the toppings and sauces, and the frozen french fries, this is one of the easiest meals to pull together when you’re hosting a party!

The best veggie burger recipe

I’ve tried several veggie burger brands but none have come close to giving me “the real deal”. The MorningStar Farms® Burgers actually taste really great. They get crispy on the outside, just like a real burger!

What to serve with veggie burgers

You can serve vegetable burgers alone or with a healthy side like:

  • Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries
  • Spaghetti Squash
  • Air Fryer Zucchini Chips

Where to buy veggie burgers

I found these burgers in the frozen food section for vegetarian food in Safeway, but I’ve also seen veggie burgers in the refrigerated meat section of a grocery store. Sometimes they’re even mixed in with the other frozen burgers.

How to make veggie burgers

I love these burger patties because they can be cooked right from the freezer. I always forget to thaw things and then when it’s time to make dinner I end up going out to pick up something to eat because dinner is still frozen. Ooops!

MorningStar Farms® Burgers can be made on the grill, stove top, or even in the microwave. Check the back of the package for exact instructions on how to make them your preferred way.
