Best Balsamic Dressing Recipe FAQs

Can I use balsamic vinegar instead of balsamic vinaigrette?

Yes, but a vinaigrette has much more robust flavors than balsamic vinegar. It will depend on your taste preferences. Personally, I think balsamic vinegar alone is a little strong for some uses.

What is the difference between balsamic vinegar and balsamic vinaigrette?

Balsamic vinegar is a very dark, concentrated, and intensely flavored vinegar made mostly from grape must. Balsamic vinaigrette is a combination of vinegar, oil, sugar, and herbs.

Iโ€™ve been a long time lover of balsamic vinaigrette. My go to has been using Good Seasons dry packet of Italian dressing and then just add the balsamic vinegar. Shocked by the price of things these days Iโ€™m thrilled to come across your recipe! Itโ€™s delicious and doesnโ€™t have all the questionable ingredients commercial dry packets have. THANK YOU!

  9. Made this and Iโ€™ll never buy store bought again. The only thing I didnโ€™t like was when refrigerated it stiffens up because of the honey.

  10. The best balsamic Iโ€™ve ever had! Everyone wanted the recipe! Thanks so much.
