Who knew you could cook eggs in the air fryer like this? Air fryer fried eggs are even easier to prepare than classic fried eggs, and come out perfectly every time in about 3 minutes of cooking time.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Eggs – Just simple, classic eggs are all you really need for this air fryer recipe!
  • Olive oil – Any kind of non-stick cooking spray works fine. I like to use olive oil, but avocado oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, or safflower oil are also fine options.
  • Salt and black pepper – Feel free to add other seasonings to your eggs as you like. Some of my favorites are paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

How to Make Air Fryer Fried Eggs

Step 1: Prepare air fryer. Preheat the air fryer and while you’re waiting for it to heat up, spritz the mini cake pans with your oil of choice.

Step 2: Crack the eggs. Break your eggs and add one to each cake pan, being careful not to get any shell pieces in there. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings.

Step 3: Air fry eggs. Cook for about 3 minutes in the air fryer, or until cooked all the way through.

Step 4: Make toast. Serve air fried eggs over toast with avocado mash.

I recommend using some kind of mini cake pans (4″ is the size I used) to hold your eggs while they air fry. If you have a larger air fryer, you could even use something like a cupcake tin to make 6 air fried eggs at the same time. Large eggs may need an extra minute or two of cook time.

When it comes to cooking time, it can vary depending on the size and strength of your air fryer. You may also need to adjust the cooking time depending on whether you like runny yolks or more solid ones.

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 325º F and spray a thin layer of olive oil cooking spray in the mini cake pans.
  • Gently break one egg into each pan, ensuring there is only one egg per pan. Sprinkle salt and black pepper to taste over the eggs.

  • Place the mini cake pans with the eggs inside the air fryer basket and cook for 3 minutes.

  • Carefully remove the eggs from the mini cake pans using a flexible spatula and serve over avocado toast or with hash browns.

  • The best way to use spray oil in an air fryer is with an oil mister, aerosol sprayers can damage the coating in your air fryer basket.
  • I love serving my fried eggs on avocado toast! To make it, just take two slices of your favorite bread, toast and butter them, add a few slices of avocado, then top it with your air fried eggs.
  • You could also add an air fryer fried egg to the top of a salad, to a bowl of ramen, as an ingredient for a breakfast sandwich, and more! The possibilities are really endless, and you can serve these as you would any fried egg.
  • Add some shredded cheese on top of the eggs before air frying. Cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, and mozzarella cheese are all good options.
