Ingredients you will need

Fresh radishes: This root vegetable has varieties that are in season at all different times of the year, so you’ll always be able to find a quality bunch of radishes! You’ll love red radishes for their slightly sweet taste and peppery flavor.
Seasonings: I used a combination of classic salt and black pepper with garlic powder and onion powder for a nice savory flavor.
Ingredient Substitutions
- You can also experiment with other seasonings like smoked paprika, chili flakes or red pepper flakes, mustard powder, or herbs like thyme, oregano, basil, and more. You could even use Italian seasoning or another seasoning blend.
- This recipe also works with other root vegetables like parsnips, carrots, daikon radishes, and beets.
- Any kind of spray cooking oil will help crisp up your radish chips. Olive oil is my preference, but avocado oil, sunflower oil, or peanut oil could also work.

Step 1: Prepare radishes. Thinly slice each radish into thin pieces on a cutting board with a sharp knife or with a mandoline.

Step 2: Season the radishes. Lightly spray the radishes with olive oil before seasoning.

Step 3: Air fry radishes. In a single layer in your air fryer, air fry the radishes until crispy and golden brown along the edges.

Step 4: Serve. Transfer the air fried radishes to a wire rack and let them cool before serving.
How to serve radish chips
You can serve these air fried radishes as a great substitute for potato chips! Eat them on their own as a crunchy snack, pair with a tasty dish like Maryland crab dip, sour cream and onion dip, healthy buffalo chicken dip, or a spicy jalapeno popper dip.
Dehydrating radishes is another gret way to make chips, and you won’t even need oil to do it! You’ll need a dehydrator or an air fryer with a dehydrate setting for this, as most ovens won’t actually go low enough to get the temperature you need (around 125 degrees Fahrenheit).
Absolutely! Follow the recipe instructions, then bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, or until nice and crispy.

Air Fryer Radish Chips
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound fresh radishes washed
- olive oil spray
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 3/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
- Remove the stems and roots from the radishes, then slice the radishes into ⅛-inch thick pieces using a sharp knife or a mandoline.1/2 pound fresh radishes
- Arrange the radish slices in a single layer on a baking sheet and add a light coating of olive oil cooking spray over them. You can also gently brush them with olive oil using a pastry brush. Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper over the radish slices. Toss the sliced radishes to make sure they are fully coated in oil and seasonings.olive oil spray, 3/4 tsp garlic powder, 3/4 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp sea salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Arrange the radish slices in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure not to overlap them. If necessary, cook them in batches to ensure all the slices cook evenly. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until lightly brown around the edges and crispy, tossing or flipping the radishes halfway through.
- When finished, place the radish slices in a single layer on a cooling rack and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Make sure your radish slices are around ⅛ inches thick or slightly thicker to prevent them from breaking during the cooking process.
- Leave the skin on the radishes for extra crispiness.
- If you are working in batches, they might take less time to cook on the second and third batch.
