Juicy Air Fryer Boneless Pork Chops
Say goodbye to dry pork chops forever! These air fryer boneless pork chops are everything you want on a busy weeknight: tender, flavorful, and on the table in just 15 minutes. No breading, no marinade, and absolutely no fuss. Once you try cooking pork chops in the air fryer, you’ll never go back!

The pork chops were so good and they have the perfect juicy texture. I love my air fryer and I can’t wait make this recipe again soon.
Why You’ll Love These Air Fryer Pork Chops

If you know me or follow me on Instagram, you know my air fryer is one of my favorite appliances ever. I’ve been air frying everything from bagel bites to filet mignon for years now, and these air fryer pork chops are easily one of the recipes I come back to most.
Pork chops are one of the best things to cook in an air fryer. The hot circulating air gives you a beautifully seared crust without any breading or extra oil, while the short cook time keeps the inside tender and juicy. Plus, this is the perfect weeknight dinner: a quick spice rub, 14 minutes in the air fryer, and you’ve got protein-packed, juicy pork chops that work just as well for meal prep, easy lunches, or a fast family dinner.
JordanIngredients You’ll Need
You’ll notice these pork chops are made without breading, and while panko-coated pork is delicious, this recipe gets crispy and delicious with a simple spice rub, and leans healthier than breadcrumb-coated alternatives.
- Pork Chops: for this recipe, I used thick-cut boneless pork chops, but you can also use bone-in pork chops if you prefer, as I do in this smothered pork chop recipe.
- Spice Rub: kosher salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, fresh cracked black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Super simple pantry staples that pack a ton of flavor into the pork.
How to Make Boneless Pork Chops in the Air Fryer

- Salt the pork chops. About 15 minutes before you’re ready to start cooking, salt both sides of the pork chops. For the most tender meat, salt them 30-60 minutes before cooking.
- Season the pork chops. Preheat the air fryer to 375° F. In a small mixing bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Season both sides of the pork chops.
- Cook the pork chops. Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket and air fry for 14 minutes, flipping halfway. The pork chops should be 145° F inside. A meat thermometer will give you the most accurate reading. Remove pork chops from the air fryer, tent with foil on a plate and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

How Long to Cook Pork Chops in the Air Fryer
Cook 1-inch boneless pork chops at 375°F for 14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. The cook time depends on the thickness of the meat and whether they’re boneless or bone-in. Here’s a quick reference guide:
| Cut | Thickness | Temp | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boneless | ½” thin | 375°F | 8–10 min |
| Boneless | 1″ thick | 375°F | 14 min |
| Bone-in | 1″ | 375°F | 14–16 min |
| Bone-in | 1.5″+ | 375°F | 16–20 min |
Always flip your pork chops halfway through cooking, and use a meat thermometer to confirm an internal temperature of 145°F at the thickest part.

Tips for Juicy, Tender Pork Chops
It’s important to prepare your pork (or any other meat) before cooking:
- To prepare your pork before cooking, salt both sides of the pork chops with kosher salt 15 minutes before cooking. Ideally, 30-60 minutes before cooking. You can even salt them up to four hours before cooking if you have the time.
- Salting pork chops before cooking will make the meat even more tender and juicy!
- Bone-in pork chops will also help increase the juiciness and tenderness of the meat.
What to Serve With Air Fryer Pork Chops
I love to serve these with a side of roasted broccolini, but roasted carrots or my fall harvest salad are also great options.
Leftover air fryer pork chops are perfect sliced over a salad, chopped into fried rice, or tucked into a sandwich for lunch the next day.

How to Store and Reheat Leftovers
- Let the pork chops cool completely, then transfer them to an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 4 days.
- To freeze: Wrap each cooled pork chop tightly in plastic wrap, then place in a freezer-safe bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
- Reheat in the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Place the pork chop in the basket and reheat for 3–4 minutes, flipping halfway. A quick spritz of olive oil before reheating helps keep the outside from drying out.
- Reheat in the microwave: Place the pork chop on a microwave-safe plate, cover with a damp paper towel, and heat in 30-second intervals until warmed through. The air fryer method gives much better texture, but the microwave works in a pinch.
Recipe FAQs
The internal temperature of pork chops should be 145° F. A meat thermometer will give you the most accurate reading.
It can take anywhere from 8 to 20 minutes to cook pork chops in the air fryer. It’s important to note the thickness of the meat and whether you have bone-in or boneless pork chops. If you’re using very thick bone-in pork chops, they will take 16-20 minutes to cook. The pork chops I used in this recipe were about one inch thick.

Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 boneless pork chops, thick cut
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- About 15 minutes before you're ready to start cooking, generously salt both sides of the pork chops with about 1 tbsp of salt. For the most tender meat, salt them 30-60 minutes before cooking.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375° F. In a small mixing bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Season both sides of the pork chops.
- Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket and air fry for 14 minutes, flipping halfway. The pork chops should be 145° F inside. Remove pork chops from the air fryer, tent with foil on a plate and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Cook time varies by thickness. For ½-inch thin boneless chops, reduce to 8–10 minutes. For 1½-inch bone-in chops, increase to 16–20 minutes.
- Always check internal temperature. Pork chops are done at 145°F at the thickest part.
- Dry brine for extra juicy chops. Salt both sides 30–60 minutes before cooking. This is the single biggest factor in tenderness.
- No need to flip more than once. One flip at the halfway mark is plenty for even cooking and a nice crust on both sides.
- Storage: Refrigerate cooled chops in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
- Reheating: Air fry at 350°F for 3–4 minutes with a spritz of olive oil. Avoid microwaving if you want to preserve texture.

Delicious and easy!
Better than oven
I’m getting ready to cook your recipe tonite. I’ve never cooked chops in the air fryer. But my question is do I have to make a plate for my cat? I see your cat has their own plate. Just checking. I want to make sure I have enough chops.
In my house, if the cat wants a plate, the cat gets a plate 😉 hope you and your kitty both enjoyed!
I did not care for the seasoning recipe. After using the salt on the chops beforehand as the recipe indicated, they came out way too salty. Next time I will use my own seasoning blend and not pre-salt them.
Thank you for your feedback! You didn’t add salt to the seasoning blend did you?
My wife is a whiz at air fryer pork chops, and these are a great version. She hates green beans, but loves this side dish: if you haven’t tried the JZ green beans with bacon, back up! Your tongue will slap your forehead trying to get to it!
hahaha I love this! Thank you so much!
Way too much seasoning to prepare for 2 pork chops. The seasoning came off and stuck to the air fryer even though I sprayed the chops with olive oil first. Despite that, they were tender, juicy and delicious.
Hi Janice – you can shake off excess seasoning before placing your pork chops in the air fryer. Additionally, you can give them an extra spritz of olive oil after seasoning them and rub the seasoning into the pork chops with your hands to make it stick better.
this is a delicious flavorful recipe. LOVE IT
the best juiciest ever!!!!

These pork chops look absolutely amazing with all those spices and that color! I love how easily they come together in the air fryer too.
You had me at 15 minutes! These pork chops were insanely tender and crispy and I would love to serve them at my next dinner party. This is a great recipe!
Your air fryer recipes are the best!! I’m saving this recipe for tomorrow, thanks so much for this!!

This is surely a flavorful meat feast treat. It’s moist, juicy and tender. Air Fryer is healthier too.
