Lemon Pepper Wings Recipe
Who’s ready for chicken wings that will knock your socks off?!
Recently, I’ve been missing watching Sunday football at a local bar or restaurant, hanging with friends, and eating chicken wings.
Since I can’t recreate the entire atmosphere, I figured I’d take a stab at brining some normalcy into the house with these incredible Lemon Pepper Air Fryer Wings!
Truthfully, these Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings are super simple (3 easy steps) and bursting with flavor, no one will believe they only took you 20 minutes!
BONUS: these air fryer wings have the perfect crispy coating with a juicy and tender meat!
Lemon Pepper Wing Ingredients
Protein: for this recipe I used fresh, never-frozen chicken wings.
Pro tip: you can make this recipe with frozen wings as well, just be sure to thaw them first. I’ve heard of people cooking frozen wings in the air fryer, but I have not tried yet.
Herbs and spices: paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, lemon pepper seasoning, and salt.
Dry ingredients: baking powder
Optional: you can use fresh squeezed lemon juice for the perfect topping.
How To Make Lemon Pepper Wings
1. Season the wings. Preheat the air fryer to 350° F. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, lemon pepper seasoning, salt, and baking powder.
Place the wings in a large mixing bowl and toss with the seasoning to coat.
2. Cook the wings. Place seasoned wings in the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through until they are golden brown and crispy.
3. Serve the wings. Remove the wings from the air fryer, squeeze fresh lemon juice (if desired), and serve with your favorite dipping sauce. If working in batches, place wings on a baking sheet in the oven at 250° F to keep them warm.

HOW DOES AN AIR FRYER WORK?
You may be wondering how this little kitchen gadget can make such delicious “fried” food. Well, I promise it’s way easier than it seems. Check out these air fryer tips if you’re just starting out!
An air fryer can be compared to a convection oven. Essentially, the hot air circulates around the food. The food is cooked to a delicious crisp, but it also cooks it evenly.
The best part of using an air fryer is that you don’t have to use a lot of oil. It also heats up and cooks faster than an oven, so it saves you a lot of calories and time!
TYPES OF AIR FRYERS
I have the Ninja Air Fryer but there are lots of different brands of air fryers out there. Here are a few other brands to check out:

Hey. I’m looking for keto friendly air fryer recipes that don’t require a lot of prep time. These lemon pepper wings look great, but I’m curious if you have a few more staples I could whip up. Snack or entree ideas both welcome.
Thanks
Hi there – I don’t specialize in keto, but I would recommend checking out my tuscan salmon recipe, spaghetti squash recipes, and chimichurri steak.
Can you use chicken tenders in place of the wings? And if so, what would be the suggested cooking time?
Yes! I would spritz them with olive oil before cooking and cook for 5-6 mins per side at 375 F. You can reference this post for instructions https://jz-eats.com/air-fryer-chicken-tenders/
I’ve only had my air fryer 2 weeks but I’ve used it every day. Definitely going to try this delicious recipe out soon.
I love how crispy chicken wings get in the air fryer. These look delicious.
These wings turned out to be so crispy and flavorful!! I’ll definitely be making them again!
I like the herbs and spices you used. I don’t use my air fryer enough.
These were awesome! I have been air frying everything lately and glad I came across this recipe!
Hi – just wondering how many wings you can fit into a medium-large sized air fryer. If you have to cook them in batches it makes it a little hard to serve as an appetizer so I would like to have as many in the air fryer at one time as possible. Looking forward to your advice and can’t wait to try the recipe.
Hi Lisa, great question! I can fit about 8-10 in my air fryer. I have the ninja foodi grill and I think it’s about 5ish qts. When I make wings in batches I heat the oven to about 150-200 and put the wings on a baking sheet in the oven while the others are cooking in the air fryer. It will keep them plenty warm and if I’m using sauce, I’ll toss them right before serving or with the sauce on the side.
Awesome
My favorite!
Can you cook these with n the oven. If so what temperature?
Hi! Yes, you can (they won’t be as crispy) but I would bake them at 425 F for about 45 minutes, turning every 15-20 minutes.
